For as long as I can remember painting has been my way of recapturing a scene that moves me. Especially in the ordinary everyday places that I think of as home.

Painting gives me a sense of belonging. Walking again through a scene I have once painted is a richer experience, a little like owning the landscape.

I hope that anyone who views my work will recognise the scenes, and remember the location or perhaps get to know it better.
